In 2012, First 5 Monterey County launched a training series to address the specific mental health concerns of families with young children known as Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health (IFECMH). Currently over 150 professionals from mental health, health care, early care and education, the justice system, and others participate. Many of these professionals work with children with specials needs or families who have experienced trauma, abuse, or depression.
